Youth Council
The Loimaa Youth Council (often abbreviated to nuva) is a local, non-partisan and non-religious team of young people aged between 13 and 19, which aims to promote issues important to young people in Loimaa and to improve the well-being of young people in Loimaa.
Youth councillors take part in the work of the local authorities by attending meetings of various boards and commissions, thus learning about local decision-making and democracy.
The status of the Youth Council is safeguarded and defined in Article 26 of the Municipal Act and Article 24 of the Youth Act.
Youth Council term of office 6/2023 – 5/2025
12 eligible candidates stood for election to the Youth Council for the 6/2023 – 5/2025 term of office. The Youth Council has been enlarged with new members during the period and is now 12+2.

The Finnish Association of Youth Councils (Nuva) awarded the City of Loimaa the Youth Council Friendly Municipality Certificate on 02.06.2021, which was extended on 17.5.2023 for two years until 1.6.2025.
