Election day voting

The regional and municipal elections will be held on Sunday 13 April 2025 from 9 to 20.

Home voting

If a person whose mobility or activity is reduced can go to a public advance voting station or to a voting station on election day on his/her own or with the assistance of others (where appropriate, the use of the on-call taxi service is possible within the framework of the existing on-call taxi routes and the instructions for its use) or otherwise assisted, he/she is not eligible to vote at home. Voting at the voting station is also a priority for people at risk or on a voluntary covid-guarantee scheme.

A person entitled to vote whose mobility or activity is restricted to such an extent that he or she cannot reach a voting station or an advance voting station without undue difficulty may vote in advance at home in the municipality entered in the electoral register as his or her municipality of residence. A carer living in the same household as the person entitled to vote at home may vote in the home vote if the carer has concluded a carer’s agreement and the municipality concerned is entered in the register of electors as his or her municipality of residence.

You must register for home voting either in writing (Central Election Board/Home Voting, Ylistaronkatu 36, 32200 Loimaa) or by telephone during office hours to the telephone number of the Central Election Board of the City of Loimaa, 050 5716 566, no later than Tuesday 1.4.2025 before 16:00. Under no circumstances can registrations for home voting be accepted after this date.

Guidance on voter identification at voting stations

• Hand your identity card to the election officer for verification.
• Remove any mask from your face, grabbing the earlobes on both sides.
• Hold any mask with the same removal support in your hands during the inspection.
• Do not let the possible mask fall from your hands.
• When you get permission from the election official to put on a mask, if you have one, put it on carefully without touching your face.
• Use hand sanitiser. Keep your identification.

Elections will be organised, if necessary, depending on the possible epidemic situation, with the arrangements required by the coronal epidemic situation. The precautions already familiar to voters from previous elections, such as hand sanitizer, masks and a looser queue, will be in place if necessary. At voting stations, depending on the possible epidemic situation, general corona guidelines (safety distances, use of gloves, mask recommendations, etc.) should be followed.
