The new children’s forest adventure trail is located in the Harjureitti area in Virttaankangas, in the woods near the Alastaro Circuit. The trail was completed in 2026—we’ll be updating this page with photos later this June.

Lasten Harju invites the whole family on an adventure

Looking for fun things to do with the kids in the great outdoors? Lasten Harju offers fun, exercise, and shared experiences for children of all ages. The forest adventure trail is located right near the entrance to the Alastaro Circuit area, in an easily accessible spot.

On the adventure course, children can climb, balance, and try out various challenges safely at a low height. The course encourages physical activity while developing agility, balance, and body control—through play and at their own pace.

Fun activities for the whole day

The area around Lasten Harju offers plenty of other activities for families. The area features the Alastaro Circuit’s bouncy castles and a smooth-surfaced go-kart track where children can drive rental go-karts.

The adventure can also continue on the forest trails. The Harju Trail takes hikers through a beautiful ridge landscape with plenty to explore for hikers of all ages.

A break at the lean-to or a refreshing swim

Within a short walk is a lean-to open to everyone, where you can stop for a snack and grill sausages in the tranquility of nature. Heading in the other direction takes you to the crystal-clear waters of Lake Kankaanjärvi for a swim on a summer day.

Free outdoor activities and time together

Lasten Harju was funded through the City of Loimaa’s 2025 participatory budgeting initiative. The adventure trail is free for everyone to use and offers fun activities for both locals and tourists.

Use of the trail is at your own risk under adult supervision. If you notice any issues or broken equipment in the area, please report them to staff as soon as possible.
