Heimolinna hall

Heimolinna was completed as a Civil Guard building in 1925. It was designed by Mauri Vilhelm Knuutila, a master builder from Loimaa. The architecture represents the typical classicism of the 1920s. At the time, Heimolinna was an impressive building by Loimaa standards, and as a Civil Guard building, it was one of the most impressive in the area.

After the Second World War, when the Civil Guard was disbanded, Heimolinna was transferred to the Co-educational School Support Association and then to the Loimaa Trade Association in 1967.

In the decades following the war, the building served as a cinema and, for many years, as a fast delivery.

Concert and banquet hall

Today, Heimolinna serves as a concert and banquet hall that can be booked for various events. This festive venue is located in the city centre, on the corner of Keskuspuisto Park.

The maximum capacity of the venue is 500 people, but with chairs, the hall can accommodate approximately 220 people. The hall is accessible and equipped with an induction loop. Audio and video equipment is available for customers to use, as is the grand piano on the stage.

Café and meeting room

The upstairs café can be booked separately on weekdays from Monday to Thursday on an hourly basis. It works well as a meeting and conference room for around 40 people. The space is equipped with everything you need for serving coffee, as well as a video projector for presentations.

Yes. Both the hall and the café have permanently installed video projectors and screens. Both video projectors are also connected to the sound system.

The hall’s video projector operates wirelessly via a separate device, such as a dongle that can be connected to a computer. The hall’s screen is lowered and raised with a remote control, and the video projector is also turned on and off with its own remote control.

The café’s video projector requires the room’s sound system to be turned on. It also has its own remote control to turn it on and off. The café’s screen is lowered manually.

Yes. The grand piano is tuned regularly and can be used normally. Before moving it, remember to unlock the wheel, and after use, it is important to remember to lock the wheel and cover the instrument.

Naturally, you must not climb on the grand piano.

Not in basic use. The presentation technology is designed to be as easy to use as possible and does not require any previous experience with similar equipment.

There are four wireless microphones in use, and devices can be connected to them via Bluetooth and a headphone jack.

As Heimolinna hosts many events with more demanding presentation technology requirements, this has also been taken into account in the design of the system, which is why these features are described in the information and on this page.

In basic use, the sound system can be used like any good home stereo.
