City of Loimaa Joins the “Important Work” Project

Boosting productivity and workplace well-being through collaboration

The City of Loimaa has been selected to participate in the “Our Work – Achieving Results Through Collaboration” project, which will be implemented from 2026 to 2028. This is a comprehensive project aimed at developing the working life.

The project aims to improve productivity and workplace well-being through joint development. Operating methods and services will be reformed through collaboration and by learning from one another.

HR Manager Eveliina Kiiski explains that in Loimaa, the project focuses on developing work ability management. The goal is to create an operational model for managing psychosocial stress. The model will be piloted in basic education and later implemented across all service areas.

At the start of the project, the focus will be on developing organizational-level onboarding and work ability management. Workshops for basic education are tentatively scheduled for 2027.

Over the past year, Loimaa has been actively developing its human resources management. Data-driven management has been improved through the implementation of Nepton’s work time tracking and scheduling system and CGI’s People Analytics solution. These tools enable for better allocation of human resources.

As part of the project, development efforts will continue, particularly in the area of work ability management. The goal is to support employees’ well-being in their daily work and to identify concrete ways to achieve this.

In Loimaa, training and guidance for supervisors in personnel management has also been increased. The organization’s work culture is being continuously developed. In the spring, Avartajat Oy trained supervisors, occupational safety and health representatives, and chief shop stewards on psychological safety in the workplace.

The project is being implemented by the municipal sector’s labor market parties—KT, JAU ry, JUKO ry, and Sote ry—in collaboration with organizations in the field. The target group includes municipalities, municipal federations, and welfare regions, as well as their various sectors and units.
