Winter holiday action!
Week 8 is traditionally packed with trips and small events and activities for holidaymakers of all ages.
Registration for the below trips is due by 12.2.
Family trip to Heureka February 20th
Join us at Heureka to discover the new exhibitions Giants of the Ice Age and Journey through Space. Journey through Space reminds us that Earth is our best spaceship – let’s take care of it!
Heureka opens the Giants of the Ice Age exhibition on Saturday 8 February 2025, which takes place at the end of the last Ice Age, some 14 000 years ago. (Heureka.fi)
The price includes tickets and transport: adults (over 18 years) 35€, children and young people (5-17 years) 25€, under 5 years 10€, students, unemployed, pensioners and conscripts 25€, museum card 15€.
Timetable and route:
Alastaro hall at 8:30, HYK at 8:45, Youth center Loimaa, Citynuokkari at 9.
Return from Heureka at 15:00 and back to Loimaa around 17:00.

TPS- Tappara ice-hockey game on Saturday March 1st
Join us to cheer on your favourite team to victory! Ticket price 20€, including transport and match ticket. Children under 12 years old with an adult guardian. Binding registration by 12.2.

On Valentine’s Day 14.2 – Let’s go swimming or to the gym!
On Valentine’s Day Fri 14.2. two for one to swim at Vesihovi, jump or gym at Hirvihovi!
Admission for a friend with a serial or senior sports card and a one-off swimming/gym ticket purchased at the cash desk.
Libraries are the place to be!
The Moomins are 80 years old! Come and borrow Moomin books and do Moomin-themed activities.
Children’s trick tracks during the winter holiday week in Metsämaa and Mellilä
On Mon February 17 at 10-14 in Kalliohovi, Metsämaantie 618, 32200 Metsämaa
On Tue February 18 at 10-14, Mellilä sports hall, Melliläntie 65, 32300 Mellilä.
The tracks are aimed at primary school children. Children under school age are welcome with a guardian. You can play and exercise on the obstacle courses on your own, the event is supervised.

Note! Skating shifts will change places at the end of the week. Skating shifts are helmet mandatory. No sticks in the rink during family skating shifts. Icerink is not in use during the ice maintenance break between shifts. Skating is free of charge.
Waterdisco at the Vesihovi on Wed 19 Feb 17.30-19.30
Dive into water disco! Bring your friends and come dance and splash! Remember your swimsuit and a smile! The music will be provided by Vesihov’s own Dj. Pena.
Children under 10 years old/unskilled children only with a guardian. The disco is included in the price of the swimming ticket.
Swimming in the music on Thursday 20.2. with morning swim from 6-9 am
Start your morning with some hip-hop music in Vesihovi! During the morning swim, music is included in the price of the swimming ticket.
Open water swimming and sauna at Lake Melliläjärvi on Thu 20.2.
On Thursday 20.2. from 16.30 to 20.30 at Lake Melliläjärvi sauna and open water swimming! The whole family is welcome to enjoy a sauna and refresh in the open water! Anu and Maukka from the youth services will be there to help you.
Youth centre in Loimaa (Citynuokkari)
Fri 21.2. Citynuokkari has an extension until 24:00. Cooking and karaoke. Come and enjoy an evening of cooking and karaoke. With Marianne, Jenni and Esc volunteers Lian and Stine.
