Guided summer sports activities for children and young people

Sports clubs for primary school pupils, 1–18 June 2026
A wide range of physical activities for primary school children. Games, acrobatics, ball games and other fun activities to enjoy together. The sports clubs are free of charge and open to all primary school children.
- Monday, 10–11 am, Metsämaa School playground (Metsämaantie 614)
- Tuesday, 9.30–10.30 am, Alastaro Kirkonkylä School playground (Aapiskuja 5)
- Tuesday, 2–3 pm, Kauhanoja School playground (Vanha Hämeentie 240)
- Wednesday, 12.30–1.30 pm, Niinijoki School playground (Niinijoentie 845)
- Wednesday, 2–3 pm, school playground at Mellilä Asemanseutu School (Melliläntie 65)
- Thursday, 9.30–10.30 am, Hirvikoski athletics fields (Kuusitie 1)
- Thursday, 1–2 pm, at the Urheilukeskus athletics fields (Sammonkatu 6)

Youth Gym 1–16 June 2026
- Monday, 2–3 pm, Hirvihovi gym (Kuusitie 1; meet at the Vesihovi café)
- Tuesday, 11am–12pm, Alastaro gym (Vahvalantie 4)
KouluPT will be on hand to provide guidance on how to use the gym equipment and on gym training. Aimed at pupils in Years 7–9
Girls’ Running Event, 4–18 June 2026
- Thursday, 2.30–3.30 pm, meeting point: the outdoor fitness equipment at Puistokatu School (Puistokatu 16)
A walking group for girls in schoolclass 7–9. Come along to walk together and have a chat about girls’ stuff.
Please bring appropriate clothing for the weather, a water bottle and a hat. All sessions are free of charge and do not require advance booking. Sessions are cancelled in the event of heavy rain.
