Summer 2026 Library Hours

At the beginning of June, libraries will switch to their summer hours. The Main Library will be closed on Saturdays, and on Fridays it will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Alastaro Library will be completely closed on Thursday and Friday, June 4–5, due to floor waxing. Additionally, the Alastaro Library will be open for self-service only from June 29 to July 19.

The Mellilä Library will be closed for the summer from July 13 to August 2. The Hirvikoski Library is open on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the summer.

On Midsummer’s Eve, Thursday, June 18, the Main Library and the Hirvikoski and Mellilä Libraries will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Alastaro Library will be open for self-service only on Thursday–Friday, June 18–19, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Midsummer’s Eve, Friday, June 19, the libraries will be closed.

Normal opening hours will resume in early September.
