Cards can be dropped off at libraries in Loimaa

It’s time to start thinking about Christmas again, as elderly clients of home care and housing services can be remembered in the Christmas mail for seniors campaign, in which Loimaa is participating for the second time. Last year, the campaign collected nearly 800 Christmas greetings in Loimaa. The campaign is organized by the creative community Siskot ja Simot.

Participating is easy:

• You can make it yourself or use a ready-made card.
• Write your Christmas wishes on the card. Write “To you” in the recipient field and your name in the sender field. Leave space for the campaign sticker, which you can get from the library.
• Put the card in the collection box at the library. Do not put the card in a sealed envelope.
• If the library is closed, you can also leave the card in the return box.
• The participation period is November 3–December 4, 2025.
• The cards will be used to spread Christmas cheer to home care and housing service clients in Loimaa.

• Loimaa Main Library: Kauppalankatu 17, 32200 Loimaa. Open: Mon–Fri 10 a.m.–7 p.m., Sat 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
• Alastaro Library: Vahvalantie 5, 32440 Alastaro. Customer service hours: Mon and Thu 2pm–7pm, Tue and Wed 10am–4pm. Self-service hours: Mon–Thu 7am–9pm, Fri–Sat 7am–6pm and Sun 7am–9pm.
• Hirvikoski Library: Hirvikoskentie 225, 32210 Loimaa. Open: Mon, Tue, and Thu 12:00–19:00, Wed and Fri 10:00–16:00.
• Mellilä Library: Sahantie 1, 32300 Mellilä. Open: Mon and Thu 14:00–19:00, Tue 10:00–16:00.

The Christmas Mail for Seniors campaign is being organized for the thirteenth time this year. Its partners are the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities, the Finnish Adult Education Association, Kansalaisareena, and Tammenlehvän Perinneliitto. The patron of the campaign is President Alexander Stubb.
