Changes to Alastaro Library opening hours

There will be changes to Alastaro Library opening hours in December and January due to staff shortages. The library is open daily for self-service, but the Christmas holidays will affect self-service opening hours. After Epiphany, starting on Wednesday, January 7, Alastaro Library will return to its normal opening hours.

The main library is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please note! There will be changes to the opening hours during the Christmas holidays.

Mon, December 8, 2 p.m.–7 p.m.
Wed, December 10, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Mon, December 15, 2 p.m.–7 p.m.
Wed, December 17, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Alastaro Library will only be open for self-service from December 22, 2025, to January 6, 2026. Self-service library opening hours:
Mon–Tue, December 22–23, 7 a.m.–9 p.m.
Wed–Sat, December 24–27, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.
Sun–Tue, December 28–30, 7 a.m.–9 p.m.
Wed–Tue, December 31–January 6, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.

During self-service hours, you can borrow and return materials using the self-service machine, pick up reservations, use customer computers and the wireless network, read magazines, and spend time at the library.

To use the self-service library, you need a valid Loisto library card, a four-digit PIN code, and a signed self-service agreement. Self-service agreements can be made at all Loimaa libraries. You can also get a PIN code from the library.
