Holiday and stand-in scheme

Lomatoimi organises the annual leave, stand-in help and paid respite for farmers engaged in livestock farming, as provided for in the Act on Respite Services.

Of the municipalities in our region, the Vehmaa unit handles the holiday services of Loimaa, Oripää and Pöytyä.

Mela agents

Mela offers farmers a wide range of protection for different life situations. Mela takes care of its customers’ occupational pensions and accident insurance. Mela also provides group life insurance, renunciation allowance, Mela sickness allowance, agricultural leave and occupational safety training.

Mela’s agent in the Loimaa, Pöytyä and Oripää areas is Jaakko Mikkola. He can be contacted by appointment at the Loimaa Rural Office (Ahonkatu 1, Loimaa).

Care about the farmer

Farmers can apply to Mela for a maximum of €500 voucher for professional help to deal with exhaustion and depression, or to obtain financial or legal advice.
