Senior Citizen Card
Sport and culture on one card
From 1 January 2024, the pricing and service offer of the Senior Card, introduced in early autumn, was changed to reflect the wishes of the spring 2023 sports survey, in which older people expressed a desire for a wider range of free and/or low-cost services.
The Senior Card is available to people over 65 years of age and to people on disability pension in Lomaa. The aim of the Senior Card is to serve and activate the senior target group for independent mobility and cultural activities as part of personal well-being.
The card entitles you to access once a day to the following places:
- Water Court
- Hirvihov Fitness and Gym
- House of Art and Alpo Jaakola’s Statue Park, during museum opening hours (not including events).
In addition, the Senior Card will, at a later date to be announced, offer the possibility of free gym sessions, such as badminton sessions, when the sports services will identify available sessions. This mapping is planned to start in spring 2024.
Purchase of a senior card
The price of a 6-month Senior Card is €60 (valid for 6 months, the summer closure of the Aquatic Centre will be credited) and the price of a 12-month Senior Card is €100 (valid for 12 months). The card is valid from the date of purchase. In addition, the redemption of the card is €6.
The card will not be redeemed, any other closing dates will not be credited and the validity period will not be changed. When applying for a card, proof of identity or a certificate of disability must be provided.
Senior card trial at the library
From January 2024, you can also borrow a Senior Card from the Main Library for a week to try it out. This will allow older people considering a Senior Card to try out the sporting and cultural opportunities for a week. A valid Loisto Libraries library card is required to borrow a Senior Card.
